Little Pine
State
Park: This park is
located directly across the street from our campground. It is a 2100
acre park with a 94 acre lake for fishing, swimming, canoing, ice
fishing and ice skating. It also has picnic areas and pavilions,
volleyball courts, a basketball court, a bike course for kids to ride
bicycles on a small dirt track, boat rentals (paddle boats,
canoes, and rowboats), a shooting range for guns and bows and miles of
marked hiking trails. The park has a variety of programs that it
does over the seasons from lectures series to kids programs. We
have updated lists of their programs in our office for your information.
Pine Creek
Rail Trail: A magnificent
trail that winds along the Big Pine Creek with over 50 scenic miles for
biking, hiking or cross country skiing. You can access the
trail just 4 miles from our campground and if you really feel up to it
it's a fun ride on Little Pine Creek Road to get to the trail - but you
better have your legs ready - some of the hills are pretty challenging!!
Williamsport: It is
25 miles to the city of Williamsport. Along with many fine
restaurants there are seasonal tours and shows. The city is most
famous for being the home of the Little League World Series.
Every August crowds gather from all over the world to witness the games
of the World Series for Little League Baseball. In winter
you can go on a tour called Victorian Christmas which is a house tour
through some of the beautiful homes and churches located in
Millionaires Row and decorated for Christmas. You can take
ride on a paddle boat called the Hiawatha Riverboat cruises or go watch
the Crosscutters which is Williamsport own minor league baseball
team. Also the Lycoming Mall is only a few miles from
Williamsport.
Wellsboro: Located
40 miles from our campground is the historic town of Wellsboro known
for its old gas light street lamps that line the main streets.
The Pa Grand Canyon is a few miles outside of town. Or you can
visit the Animal Land Zoo or go on a family scenic train ride on the
Tioga Central RR. There are many fine restaurants to pick from
and seasonal events such as the Laurel Festival in June or the Dickens
Christmas in December. There are also bike races and a 10K race
along with parades, and many nice gift shops.
Woolrich: The town
of Woolrich is 20 miles from the campground. The Woolrich woolen
mills are the oldest operational textile mill in the country. In
town you can shop at the Woolrich outlet store for clothing, household
and
gift items.
Lock Haven: Located
25 miles from the campground you will find many fun things to do like
the free concert series all summer at the J. Doyle Corman Amphitheater
and floating stage. There are arts and craft shows, an Airfest,
and a Labor Day Regatta with outboard motorboat racing and amusement
rides just to name a few. There is the local Millbrook

from. You can visit the Piper Museum and there is an Antique Mall
